The National Park Service is partnering with two Latino-serving organizations to provide graduate and undergraduate students with internships at national parks around the country. The internship program is designed to engage the next generation of conservation stewards and will raise awareness of national parks and historic sites, their accessibility, and the need for the Latino community's involvement in their preservation. These ten-week internships will be compensated with a weekly stipend, and housing and transportation costs will be fully covered. Please share these opportunities with your student networks.

The Wolverine Worldwide Family YMCA is offering a FREE 5 day swimming and water safety program. The class will run Monday Through Friday the week of spring break (April 6th-10th). Participants will spend time in the pool learning basic swimming and water safety skills. Each day will cover basic swimming skills and a water safety module. The modules will be different each day covering skills such as diving/diving safety, reach and throw assistance/rescues, boating and lifejacket safety, indoor pool safety/rules and outdoor pool/waterfront safety guidelines. We are accepting all swimming abilities from beginner to advanced, ages 5-13 years old. Participants can sign up for one of two times we have available; 5p-6 and 6p-7p.
Burton Elementary is Inviting Bilingual Professionals to be Special Readers on March 26 between 10am -3pm. Books provided or bring your favorite. Read in English or Spanish. Spend time with a classroom reading, asking questions about the book or your career - an hour of your day; any hour you wish.
